Suggested Applications for Bradley Washroom Partitions

Bradley Corporation manufactures washroom partitions from a variety of materials.  These range in cost and offer specific benefits to multiple public restroom and commercial bathroom environments.  The purpose of this article is to suggest specific applications that blend cost effectiveness with maximum functionality.  Bear in mind that these suggestions represent only a fraction of the many potential applications that facility managers, contractors, and architects can use Bradley toilet partitions for. 

Maximum functionality results from a combination of several factors.  These factors include maintenance requirements, moisture resistance, impact resistance, vandal resistance, front-end costs, partition color, and partition mounts.  Different facilities will require each of these features in different amounts.  Each commercial restroom is unique, and XPB Locker Supply will always assist in choosing not only the best material for that particular restroom, but will assist in the configuration of toilet stalls by publishing a free design drawing with every toilet partition quote.

Baked enamel washroom partitions are the least expensive to install.  They are moisture and corrosion resistant.  While they are not vandal resistant, they offer significant value to facilities on a budget that where vandalism is not a concern.  Many small private schools with exceptional discipline can save a great deal on construction costs with baked enamel restroom stalls, as can churches where the majority of users are concentrated during weekend services.  Other user groups include small shopping centers, small manufacturing plants, family restaurants, and small office buildings.   

Organizations with a slightly greater need for partition durability, and slightly larger budgets, may want to consider plastic laminate partitions.  The hardware associated with plastic laminate stalls is more heavy duty.  Plastic laminate is moisture and corrosion resistant.  It can handle daily, heavy traffic better than baked enamel (although it is not vandal resistant like more expensive materials.)  Mid-sized office buildings, warehouses and small factories, movie theatres, and department stores often find it the ideal solution to their restroom design requirements. 

On the mid-range price scale, we have washroom partitions made from solid phenolic core.  Solid phenolic is a compressed, resin-impregnated material that is both moisture resistant and impact resistant.  Municipalities often choose solid phenolic toilet partitions for civic center locker rooms, sports arena restrooms, and swimming pool facilities.  Many state governments also use phenolic core partitions for campground showers and restrooms.  While it is not specifically vandal resistant, it can take the rough handling of excited persons and children much better than cheaper materials.  So long as there is no malicious, deliberate abuse, it will last for many years in wet, humid environments.  

On the high end of the price scale, we have solid plastic and stainless steel restroom partitions. 

Solid plastic is currently our most popular washroom partition material.  Not only does it resist moisture and impact, but it is graffiti and vandal resistant.  This makes it ideal for public schools in larger cities, theme park restrooms, university restrooms, and health clubs.  The plastic is colored prior to molding, so it retains its color even if scratched and is extremely easy to repair.  Hardware used to assemble solid plastic toilet partitions is equally heavy duty.  When facilities need vandal resistance combined with aesthetics and long term durability, solid plastic is definitely worth the cost.  While it does cost more, it is very low maintenance and easy to repair, making it a very sound long-term investment. 

Stainless steel toilet partitions are designed for high-end environments that require an elegant touch.  Their durability and corrosion resistance make them ideal for private colleges, airports, high-end restaurants, five star hotel lobby restrooms, casinos, and Class “A” office buildings.
