Bradley
toilet partitions have been used in a wide range of applications. Over the past decade, a number of very
unique projects have been undertaken throughout the United States that reveal
the unique properties of these durable and decorative commercial washroom
fixtures. This diversity of use is
a testament to a versatility and viability of design that reveals a recession
proof synthesis of superior functionality and aesthetic.
One of the more recent projects involved the construction of the
first LEED certified museum in the state of Wisconsin. This facility was a children’s museum
intended to teach green lifestyle practices. Bradley
partitions made from Bradmar®, a proprietary Bradley material, were used in
the restrooms. This special
material is made from recycled HDPE plastic.
Since many of the children who now visit this museum were already in
the habit of recycling milk jugs at the time the museum was built, the new
restroom stalls give the kids a firsthand view of how recycling can be used not
only as a tool of saving our natural environment, but also in the construction
of advanced, new, manmade environments.
Another project showcases the aesthetic power of Bradley toilet
partitions. This was an airport
renovation in Colorado where the architects and terminal manager decided to
create a restroom interior whose color scheme reflected that of the surrounding
Rocky Mountains.
Accordingly, fusion
granite and stainless steel were chosen as the partition materials. Functionally, these materials also
feature durability and a vandal resistance that makes them ideally suited to
high traffic areas. They resist
scratches and dents, and they are easy to wipe clean. This makes maintenance quick, simple,
and cost effective.
Still
another project, undertaken in North Texas, involved the installation of solid
plastic Bradley toilet partitions in a recreational center. As in the case of the Colorado airport,
vandal resistance was a priority here.
People do write graffiti on partition surfaces, and people do scratch
these surfaces, both intentionally and unintentionally.
Solid plastic can be wiped clean of graffiti because of its superior
moisture resistance. Scratches can
be easily and cost effectively repaired with a heat gun.
A fourth project we would like to reference also involved the
installation of solid plastic toilet partitions.
This was in a Colorado sports stadium, where Bradmar® Bradley toilet
partitions were again chosen for their superior vandal resistance and
aesthetic qualities.
In sports stadiums, visiting teams can and do take out their anger on
lockers and partitions. Metal dents
too easily, so plastic was the logical choice of materials whose aesthetic also
contributes to a clean, upbeat appearance of a fine athletic center.
The
director of the project particularly liked the color choices that were
available. The dark gray with
speckled texture superbly complimented the black, gray, and silver of the
building interior. Since repeat
ticket sales are the lifeblood of the facility’s revenue stream, the aesthetic
contribution that solid plastic Bradley toilet partitions made to the stadium’s
attraction factor has played a signifance role in the generation of tangible,
financial returns on investment.
