Our Roll Form Wire Bench is a versatile bench that will add an attractive element to any location. Although primarily intended for outdoor use, it can also be used in indoor locations. It is commonly found in parks, athletic training facilities, country clubs, and residential homes. This bench combines a moderately sturdy structure with an economical price. The standard bench is six feet in length but custom orders of different sizes can be placed. The bench weighs one hundred and forty-seven pounds.
The Roll Form Wire Bench has armrests which form part of the frame. The back and seating area are formed from a continuous piece of heavy-duty wire crisscross which is “roll formed” and then welded to the frame. Roll forming is a relatively simple manufacturing process and relatively inexpensive as well. Roll forming is basically a continuous bending operation in which the wire crisscross or other material is passed through a series of rolls or bending equipment. Each roll performs a part of the bending process until the final roll achieves the desired shape and form of the wire crisscross. Then the wire crisscross can be welded to the frame.
The legs of the Roll Form Wire Bench feature pre-drilled holes for mounting. There are three basic mounting options available and the choice will depend on the location and the desire for permanency. The first choice, portable mounting, is very simple. The bench will rest on the surface location without any type of attachment to the surface. This choice makes it very easy for the bench owner to move the bench at any time. The second choice, surface mounting, is a more permanent mounting choice and is commonly used on concrete and tile surfaces. The concrete surface must have holes drilled and anchors inserted inside the holes. The bench legs can then be bolted to the anchors. Of course, the bench can be moved at any time but requires an unbolting process. The third choice, in-ground mounting, is almost always used in outdoor locations where the bench will be located on grass or soil. Leg extensions must be bolted or welded to the bench legs and they will extend approximately eighteen inches into pre-dug holes in the ground. The holes will be filled with concrete making the bench location permanent and preventing theft of the bench.
The buyer of a Roll Form Wire Bench can select from sixteen available colors. The available colors are black, red, orange, yellow, green, bk-green, teal, blue, navy, purple, burgundy, brown, beige, sandstone, gray, and granite. Therefore, a buyer has a number of color options available to match with the surrounding décor.
The Roll Form Wire Bench is covered with a very durable and long lasting protective coating called thermoplastic. Also called powder coating, this protective covering is the latest technology for protecting metal products in harsh outdoor environments. The plastic or plastic/epoxy powder coating is bonded to the metal with an electrical process and then cured or melted slightly to form a very attractive and durable final coating. The thermoplastic coating is environmentally safe and is far superior to older conventional coatings such as paint. In addition, the thermoplastic coating is almost maintenance free and very easy to clean. Should the bench ever be spray painted by vandals then the paint can be easily removed with a cleaner. Fortunately, paint does not adhere well to thermoplastic coatings. If the coating is damaged or cut it can be easily repaired with an industrial heat gun which will help the coating melt slightly and rebind itself. The coating will not crack, peel, or warp in its lifetime.
