Hockey Lockers

Open access stadium lockers made from treated wood make the best hockey lockers.  They provide all the necessary space for the serious hockey player to store each piece of equipment where it can easily be found and retrieved.  Uniform garments can be hung neatly without having to be folded and crammed into tight spaces.  Open air design keeps all protective gear and clothing dry.  There is even room for a hockey stick and practice pucks in these lockers.

The genius of the design lies in its division into five specific storage sections.  Each section can be used by the player to organize everything in an efficient manner.

The very top of the stadium locker is actually designed to work as a shelf.  Here, the player can store his helmet and facemask so that when he is finished putting on all of his other equipment, all he has to do is reach up, grab his helmet, and place it over his head.  There is also plenty of room on this shelf to store an extra pair of skates and to stack a few practice pucks.

Just below this top shelf, the hockey locker has another storage area that consists of two adjacent compartments.  The compartment on the left is a security box that features a locking door that protects all the valuables the player wishes to store.  There is also a cubby storage compartment right next to the security box.  The cubby measures approximately the same size as they security box, only without a door.  Here, the player can store gloves, mouth guards, and a neck guard. 

The main storage area of the hockey locker, and its premier advantage over other sport locker designs, is the middle open storage area.  This massive section looks like the interior of a closet with no door.  On the left wall, there is a coat hook.  Stretching across the top of the middle section is a coat rod that the player can use to hang his jersey, padded shorts, Breezers, and even shoulder pads.  Elbow pads, leg guards, and shin guards can also be stored in this section.  There is enough vertical space here to lean the stick in the corner.

The bottom of the hockey locker is a foot locker section that features a unique adaptation that is particularly useful to the hockey player.  Not only does this closing locker provide more than enough space for the player to store skates, but it also works like a small player’s bench.  When the player gets ready to put his skates on, he can simply turn around, sit down on the foot locker, and lace up his skates. 

This feature is not really needed in professional leagues that have fully equipped locker rooms with player’s benches.  However, minor leagues, academic hockey teams in small schools and boy’s leagues may need to be Spartan with their money.  A set of hockey lockers that give players a place to sit down can certainly help curb the expenses of buying benches for a small locker room.
