Lockers are lockers that resemble a
rectangular arch and optimize the space needs of any given location. They are very popular in areas where
space is limited because the arch or
bridge unit is also a set of lockers.
Under the arch or bridge unit is a coat rod for hanging full-length
garments. Often times users will
use this coat rod because they want to avoid wrinkles that occur when putting
the garments in more confined lockers.
Because they can offer a very secure place for storage of personal
belongings, these lockers can be utilized anywhere people exercise, play games,
travel, or work. These lockers are
commonly purchased by gyms and recreational facilities, health facilities,
schools, universities, industry, and offices.

Lockers are typically constructed of
sixteen gauge steel which is very durable and able to withstand high volume
locker room traffic and potential vandalism. The bridge locker usually features
a total of sixteen standard box style lockers. These box style lockers measure twelve
inches wide, twelve inches high, and eighteen inches deep. They are sold as
assembled units or unassembled units and are commonly available in a gray or tan
color finish. The doors feature
louvers for ventilation which allows the evaporation of sweat and water and
consequently reduces any lingering odors. These bridge lockers also feature a
strong steel hasp assemble on the locker doors that can accommodate a variety of
locks. Typically there are three
types of locks used with the Box Bridge Lockers – built-in
combination lock, built-in key lock, and padlock. This gives the building manager great
flexibility in his/her decision on what type of storage method to offer. Many times the building manager will
give the user the option of using his/her lock and key. This removes the “locking”
responsibility from the building manager and gives the user more control in
securing his/her belongings.

Lockers also offer a variety of options
which include sloping
hoods, front
bases, end bases, and engraved
name / number plates. The
vertical locker tiers will consist of six lockers each, with the arch or bridge
unit consisting of four lockers for a total of sixteen lockers. The overall weight of a single bridge
locker unit is 165
pounds and the overall dimensions are 72 inches in width,
78
inches in height, and 18 inches in depth.
Installation of
Box
Bridge Lockers is relatively simple.
Although individual job conditions will vary, these lockers will be
anchored to the wall, the floor, or both. One of the most important
considerations when setting the lockers in place is to assure that the lockers
are “set plumb and true” or vertical and level before anchoring. These lockers are not freestanding
structures and must be properly anchored to prevent any possibility of
toppling. All anchoring should be
done securely to the walls and/or floor with the proper fasteners. If the
customer has ordered built-in locks then the locks must be tested for proper
operation before closing the doors.
The bridge unit should be assembled before raising and mounting it on top
of the two six tier vertical units.
Care should be taken in moving, raising and mounting the bridge
unit.
